awswrangler.catalog.delete_partitions¶
- awswrangler.catalog.delete_partitions(table: str, database: str, partitions_values: list[list[str]], catalog_id: str | None = None, boto3_session: Session | None = None) None ¶
Delete specified partitions in a AWS Glue Catalog table.
Note
This function has arguments which can be configured globally through wr.config or environment variables:
catalog_id
database

- Parameters:
table (

) – Table name.database (

) – Table name.catalog_id (

) – The ID of the Data Catalog from which to retrieve Databases. If none is provided, the AWS account ID is used by default.partitions_values (
list

]]) – List of lists of partitions values as strings. (e.g. [[‘2020’, ‘10’, ‘25’], [‘2020’, ‘11’, ‘16’], [‘2020’, ‘12’, ‘19’]]).boto3_session (
Session
|None
) – The default boto3 session will be used if boto3_session receiveNone
.
